Gerddi Bro Ddyfi Gardens

Gerddi Bro Ddyfi Gardens is a therapeutic garden in Y Plas, Machynlleth.  We serve the whole of the Dyfi Valley.  It's a beautiful site with a winding stream, Oak, Ash and Lime trees and a wildlife meadow.  There are wheelchair access facilities on to the site and we welcome volunteers and visitors to come and enjoy the gardens, which are on an open site.  We particularly welcome those who are at risk from social exclusion and provide therapeutic gardening to a wide range of volunteers.

Although volunteer days are Tuesday and Thursday, some people prefer to do some weeding on a quieter day, and that's fine!  Sometimes there's lots of heavy work to do, sometimes the pace is a little more relaxed. Do what you feel up to - although we're usually there between 10.30 and 4.00, if you can only manage an hour it's still greatly appreciated.

In Spring 2015 we will be building a boat from sleepers and willow as a play structure for younger visitors to the site.   All hands on deck please!

General gardening activities including: raising plants from seed, planting, weeding, scything, composting, vegetable gardening, pond management, woodland management, general woodwork, organic principles.

Amenity gardening - including selling plants on market and open days.
