Social Clubs

Sometimes it’s nice to get out of the house for a bit for something other than shopping or doctor’s appointments!

Our clubs give you that chance.  Either for a square meal and convivial company or tea, cake and animated discussion.

Our wonderful little Joan & Darby Club meets the first Tuesday afternoon of the month for tea, cake and chat.  More often than not we have a guest speaker - on subjects as diverse as energy efficiency and merchant shipping.

If you're over 60 our Lunch Club meets every other Thursday at the Maenwyn Cafe.  For £5.50 you can enjoy a two-course meal with tea and coffee and, most importantly, catch up on all the local gossip.  Transport can be arranged.

And we’re not alone, you know!  If you fancy getting into something a little more academic – there’s always the University of the Third Age (U3A) which has a thriving local membership and includes poetry, history, scrabble group etc.

Every summer we organize an outing too - a bite to eat and a visit to one of our local attractions.
